Can I use My Computer in Australia?
In Australia we have electricity 230V, 50Hz. You need to check with your equipment's manufacturer for this settings. Electrical plugs are different and can be usually purchased at Duty Free Stores or at the airport.

Do I need a visa?
A visa is needed for entry into Australia.

How long does it take to fly to Australia?
It takes 14 hours non-stop to fly between Los Angeles and Sydney, Australia. We look upon the time as being equivalent to 3 movies, 2 meals, a snack and a nap.

How long does it take to fly to New Zealand?
It takes 12 hours 50 minutes non-stop to fly between Los Angeles and Auckland, New Zealand.

How long does it take to fly to Fiji?
It takes 10 hours 45 minutes non-stop to fly between Los Angeles and Nadi, Fiji.

When is the best time to go to Australia?
Anytime.

Can I see all of New Zealand in 2 weeks?
No. Although New Zealand is a small country two weeks is not sufficient time to see it all. You can certainly experience a lovely flavour of New Zealand in 2 weeks. Remember there are more landform varieties in New Zealand than in any other country in the world.

Can I see all of Australia in 2 weeks?
No. Australia is the largest island and the smallest continent in the world. You could visit a couple of destinations and take time to meet the Aussies while exploring the local area in good detail.

Australia is the same size as continental USA excluding Alaska and Hawaii.

It varies. Australia is the same size as continental USA and as such has several types of weather at any time.

Yes. Most of Australia and New Zealand has mild winters. For example the normal winter high in Sydney in July is 64 degrees.

What sort of money do they use?
Australia, New Zealand and Fiji all have their own monetary system based upon the metric system using dollars and cents.

Can we use credit cards?
Yes. American Express Mastercard and Visa are all acceptable in the South Pacific.

How much money should we take?
When your travel arrangements are booked and your trip is pre-paid, meaning that all you need to budget for are some meals, the occasional taxi fare, souvenirs and gas if you will be renting a car. It is wise to have some Australian Dollars on your arrival.

Is it true that tipping is not required in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji?
Yes. For exceptional service in Australia or New Zealand you may wish to leave a tip of no more than 10%. Tipping is not welcomed in Fiji.

Will I be able to cuddle a koala?
There are a few places that still permit cuddling koalas. As this has proven to be a very stressful experience for the koala most places now discourage it.
