Koalas
have to be one of the worlds most loveable animals. Rare in the wild,
they can be seen, and sometimes held, in many of Australias wildlife parks
or zoos. They are highly specialised eaters, and will only eat the leaves
of a few species of eucalypt. Because of the toxic nature of these leaves,
Koalas have a more complex digestive system, one that requires up to twenty
hours to process the food.
